Short bio
The wonderful story of the Second Band takes its begining in a mid-size town called Örebro some five years back. At the age of nineteen and just out of school singer Hampus decided to try his luck in the world of music. If not for anything else, at least to have something to do during the grim autumns and winters of Sweden. Time passed and when spring came there was enough practicing and time for the real stuff - the studio.
The five songs, of suprising quality, that was recorded during those two days made up the demo "Angel & I". The following summer TSB started to play live and slowly made a name for themselves. During winter 2003/2004 a single was recorded (Hejdå vinter) and in March it was time to make a pro-sounding EP.
It took two days, this time as well, to record five songs. With another two days of mixing "What's up, Tiger lily?" was born. This EP made it all the way to national radio with a fair amount of airplay. Some jounalists concidered it to be one of the big promises for 2004.
Nothing really happened though, time passed and bandmembers were out and about travelling and living in Berlin and Paris during summer and autumn.
2005 was a good year. TSB started to play shows around in Sweden, not just in Örebro but at the well renowned Hultsfredsfestivalen and UKA in Trondheim, Norway among other venues. There were a bunch of shows and a bit of a buzz.
March 2006 it was time for recording a mini-album of seven songs. This time the band could afford four days in the heavy metal studio fascination street where all of the TSB cds' have been recorded. "Your dark side is on the phone" was released and received good reviews. Then they got an e-mail saying something like "grey's anatomy tv possibility bla bla bla..." and within 24 hours a deal was settled. Two months later in the fifth episode of the third season the songs "Wild is the wind" appeared just like it was the most natural thing in the world. There was a certain amount of blog-buzz and the band got a lot of american friends on myspace.
now it's the beginning of 2008 and the band has never ever sounded better than it does right now. With a fabulous new full-length album they're ready to take on the world...!
